12th night holiday tour
 
This year’s annual fundraising holiday tour, which took place on January 7, 2024, was a tremendous success. The tour was enjoyed by all and raised over $5,000 for the York Twinning Association.  Funds will be used for cultural activities, hosted events for visitors from France and Germany, and scholarships for York County students traveling to France and Germany with YTA.
 
Thank you to all the participants, hosts, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make this year’s event a success. We hope to see you for next year’s 12th Night Holiday Tour – Sunday, January 5, 2024.

This year’s tour featured four unique locations:
  • Box Hill Mansion – historic mansion constructed in 1928 by George and Purdon Whiteley, one of the original founders of Dentsply.
  • Home featuring a collection of nativity scenes – a vast collection of unique nativity scenes from around the world.
  • The York Water Company Headquarters – architecturally stunning marble building, designed by William Billmeyer, with a 3,800-square-foot ceiling mural by German artist Gustav Ketterer.
  • York Historical Society Museum – constructed in 1921 as an automobile dealership, the main lobby retains its original showroom tile floor.
